Who We Are

At iCare Welfare, we believe in empowering underserved communities through sustainable development. For years, our team has been working at the grassroots level, especially in remote and disadvantaged areas of Sindh, Pakistan – particularly the districts of Badin and Tharparkar

Our mission is simple but powerful: provide clean water, renewable energy, quality education, and livelihood skills to those who need it most

What We Do

01. Installation of Hand Pumps

💧 Access to Clean Water

In many rural areas of Sindh, clean drinking water is still a luxury. To combat this, we conduct on-ground surveys to identify the most vulnerable villages—often home to 40–50 families.
02. Lighting Up Lives After Sunset

☀️ Solar Light Distribution

In off-grid villages, nightfall brings darkness, insecurity, and halted routines. iCare Welfare brings solar-powered garden and pathway lights to homes, streets, and public areas, offering safety and convenience after dark.
03. A Ray of Hope for Boys and Girls

🎓 Educational Support

Every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and dream. In many parts of rural Pakistan, especially for girls, education is out of reach.

04. Adult Literacy & Skill Development Programs

👩‍🏫 Empowering Women

We support widows and marginalized women through adult literacy and vocational training centers, helping them gain both confidence and financial independence.

Installation of Hand Pumps - Clean Water Access

Problem: In many rural areas of Sindh, clean water sources are either contaminated, seasonal, or nonexistent. Women and children often walk several kilometers daily just to fetch a few liters of unsafe water.

Our Solution:
We install hand pumps in villages identified through careful ground surveys. Each pump serves an average of 250–300 people and is located centrally to minimize travel time and effort, especially for women and elderly individuals.

Impact

Future Goal: Expand our reach to hundreds more villages where groundwater is available but untapped due to lack of resources.

Solar Light Distribution - Lighting Up Lives After Sunset

Problem: Thousands of families in interior Sindh live without access to electricity. When the sun sets, their lives come to a standstill. Insecurity, poor visibility, and limited educational activity are common challenges.

Our Solution:
We distribute solar-powered garden and pathway lights that are:

  • Eco-friendly
  • Affordable & Low-maintenance
  • Effective for both homes and public areas

These lights are strategically placed to illuminate:

  • Households,
  • Village streets
  • Community gathering points
  • Boundary walls (to increase safety around homes and factories)
Impact

Future Goal: Introduce solar charging stations and expand lighting infrastructure to schools, clinics, and community centers.

Educational Support - A Ray of Hope for Boys and Girls

Problem: In rural areas, education is often inaccessible due to poverty, gender bias, and lack of awareness. Girls are particularly vulnerable to early dropouts and are discouraged from continuing education.

Our Solution:
We help financially struggling students, especially young girls, pursue their education by covering:

  • Tuition fees,
  • Stationery and textbooks,
  • Uniforms and school supplies
  • Transportation and exam registration

We also conduct community engagement sessions to raise awareness about the long-term benefits of education and advocate against child marriage and gender-based educational discrimination.

Impact

Future Goal: Establish scholarship programs, partner with schools for infrastructure upgrades, and promote STEM education for girls.

Adult Literacy & Skill Development - Empowering Women

Problem: A large number of widows, divorced, and economically dependent women in rural Sindh are unable to support themselves or their children due to lack of education and marketable skills.

Our Solution:
We run Adult Literacy Centers where women learn:

  • Basic reading and writing
  • Numeracy
  • Confidence and communication

Simultaneously, we offer vocational training in:

  • Sewing & stitching
  • Embroidery & handicrafts
  • Mobile phone repair
  • Home-based business setup

After training, women receive toolkits or sewing machines so they can begin earning immediately from home.

Impact

Future Goal: Launch women-led cooperatives, introduce online selling platforms, and connect trained women with urban markets.
